Service Description
Kambo Kambo is a traditional Amazonian practice involving the secretion of the Phyllomedusa bicolor, commonly known as the giant monkey frog. Unlike psychedelic medicines, Kambo does not typically produce a visionary or altered state of consciousness. The experience is primarily physical and is traditionally associated with cleansing, endurance, and preparation within specific Indigenous Amazonian traditions. Contemporary Kambo sessions can involve a brief but intense physiological response. Temporary effects may include warmth, flushing, increased heart rate, sweating, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, facial swelling, and fatigue. Experiences vary from person to person, and the intensity of the physical response should not be interpreted as a measure of the value or effectiveness of the experience. At Aether & Ancestors, Kambo is approached with respect for its Indigenous origins, careful preparation, health screening, attentive facilitation, and appropriate recovery time. Participants complete an intake and screening process before a session so that relevant health conditions, medications, and potential contraindications can be considered. Kambo is not appropriate for everyone. Certain cardiovascular, neurological, renal, electrolyte, and other medical conditions—as well as pregnancy, some medications, and recent medical procedures—may make participation inappropriate. Kambo has also been associated with serious adverse events, which is why screening and responsible preparation are essential. We do not present Kambo as a cure, medical detoxification treatment, or substitute for healthcare. The intention is to provide a carefully held setting for those who independently choose to engage with this traditional practice. Time is provided afterward for rest, recovery, and reflection, with integration support available when desired. Aether & Ancestors does not provide medical or psychiatric treatment. Ceremony Booking & Cancellation Policy To ensure each ceremony is approached with appropriate preparation, care, and mutual understanding, the following policies apply to all private ceremonial bookings with Aether & Ancestors Collective. Preparation Call A preparation call is required before every ceremony. This conversation provides space to review your intake information, discuss intentions and expectations, address questions or concerns, and review important preparation details. Completion of any required intake forms and the preparation call is necessary before the ceremony can take place. Payment & Confirmation Full payment is required to secure your ceremony date. A requested date is not considered confirmed until payment has been received and any required booking requirements have been completed. Cancellation & Refund Policy We understand that circumstances can change. Refunds are provided according to the amount of notice given: 7 or more days before your ceremony: Full refund 2–6 days before your ceremony: 50% refund Within 24 hours of your ceremony: No refund Refunds are calculated based on the amount paid for the ceremony. Any processing fees charged by third-party payment providers may be non-refundable. Rescheduling Requests to reschedule will be considered based on availability. If illness, safety concerns, changes in health or medication, or other circumstances arise that could affect your participation, please communicate this as soon as possible. Aether & Ancestors reserves the right to postpone or cancel a ceremony when proceeding would not be appropriate or safe. By booking a ceremony, you acknowledge and agree to these booking and cancellation terms.
